What’s New in Blue

Blue is the #1 favorite color adored by all. It is the choice color of top ribbon awards, the symbol of love and purity worn by brides, the luck of bluebirds landing on door steps and the first sign of Spring in robin’s nests.

It is the color of ice cold glaciers and warm turquoise seas, summer squalls and clear blue skies.

Blue paints and pigments began as exotic phenomena ground from mined minerals - lapis lazuli, cobalt, azurite, ultramarine from Asia, Africa, Egypt, the Middle East - from dyes derived from plants - woad and indigo from India, Africa, Europe, South America, the Caribbean.

And while blue is one of the three primary colors, it also represents an elaborate spectrum when mixed with particles of red and yellow.
