Only in the Caribbean Sky
Only in the Caribbean Sky
can one see through the eye
of a full-circle rainbow,
the journey from morning to night.
Where cobalt and yellow shape cloud silhouettes
as the sun and the moon exchange sites.
And red melts the day on the cool azure sea
While its fire pours down, sinks below.
A primary palette gleans light from the sun
weaving, spinning its rays as they go.
Through amethyst, orange,
a flash of bright green,
all signal the passage is done.
Up, out in the distance a foreign formation,
guardian lights appear from afar.
Floating in silence, in parallel sequence,
they turn quickly to criss-cross the stars…
only in the Caribbean sky!
