Sunshine for the New Year
Our year would not be complete without sharing another uplifting experience with our Sunshine Kids who have earned our complete devotion.
The Sunshine Kids is dedicated to uplifting the lives of children with cancer. It provides amazingly fun family activities to brighten their lives while offering emotional support to strengthen all involved.
Last week, we gathered for a Holiday Celebration in the beautifully decorated Sunshine Kids Southwest Florida Headquarters in Naples. When we gather, it is pure JOY! It is a big family and the children are all friends playing together.
The evening was showered with music on a newly donated piano, loving gifts of toys, food, games, crafts. and Sir Roland’s gift of children’s portraits.
The most sensitive denominator of our gathering was that each and every person is coping with cancer: the best are in remission, the worst, having just lost their child, while many others are in chemo and radiation therapy.
Janet Yon, Senior Program Manager of Sunshine Kids for Southwest Florida loves each and every child. Her dream come true is the pleasure derived from their hard work organizing these events!
